If You Were To Be An Ice Cream Topping, What Would You Be?
Sprinkles. They are colorful, bright, sweet, and fun. But if there was a second option, definitely pineapple. They are yellow, sweet, and a sign for hospitality and friendship.
What Advice Would You Give To Your Younger College Self?
Don’t lose sight of your ultimate purpose in life. It is easy to get caught up in the craziness, business and drama of daily college life, and neglect the important things. It is important to always make time for the Lord because He is your source of strength and sanity.
Also, invest in good friends that point you to Christ on your good days as well as bad days.
What Are You Learning Right Now?
The words that I keep repeating to myself are Be Still and Know. I’m learning that I need to take time to rest and spend time with God. It is also a time to fill my mind with truth. It has been a difficult season for me, but I know that God is working. His peace can overcome even the hardest seasons.
Another thing that I’m learning is that who you spend time with affects who you are and who you become. I’m at my best when I spend time with positive people who inspire me to be my best.
Do You Have Any Fun Family Traditions?
On Black Friday, we wake up early and of course do some shopping. The girls in the family shop the day away, and then we meet up with my grandpa and dad for a meal at the Cheesecake Factory.
On Christmas Eve, my grandparents and aunt spend the night. My mom, grandma, and aunt wrap presents, while me and my sister watch a movie with my grandpa and dad. We also eat white bean chili soup that night. We then wake up and have grandma’s secret casserole and open presents.
Whoevers birthday it is, the whole family comes into your room singing Happy Birthday to wake you up. When we eat dinner that night, you get to eat on your “birthday plate.” It says, “You are Special”, includes the day you were born, and has your life verse on it.
What Do You Lose Track of Time Doing?
Babysitting, eating ice-cream, having good conversations with people, being creative, and getting to do other people’s makeup.
If Money Was Not An Object, What Job Would You Choose?
I have always dreamed of just being able to be a wife and a mom who could support my family in that way. But if dreams were made a reality, I would be a professional ice-cream taster.
What Do You Look For In A Spouse?
Godly character, patient, hard working, loves kids, a family guy, thoughtful and protective.
What Is Your Favorite Book and Movie?
Favorite Book: The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom. It is about a Christian family that hid Jews during World War Two. The were caught, taken to a concentration camp and Corrie was the only one that survived. It gave me a perspective to what sacrificially living for Christ looks like and how it may look like hell on earth.
Favorite Movie: While You Were Sleeping. It is just a typical chick-flick and it was my mom’s favorite movie when she was pregnant with me.
What Makes You Smile?
The color yellow, sunflowers, babies, the beach, acai bowls, and handwritten notes.
